Yakovlev Yak-18(OO-IAK and D-EYAK)
Belgium
September 13, 2013

For this photo shoot of Yakovlev Yak-18s (OO-IAK and D-EYAK) I was in a Dornier Do-27. OO-IAK (c/n 1332019) was flown by airline pilot Jean-Michel Legrand. Yak-18 (D-EYAK '1' c/n 6016) is painted in East German Air Force colours and OO-IAK in Soviet Air Force colours. The Yakovlev Yak-18 (NATO code name 'Max') was a Soviet tandem two-seat military primary trainer aircraft which entered service in 1946, it was also produced in China as the Nanchang CJ-5.
