Night photo shoot XVI
RAF Northolt
March 27, 2014
Phillip Dawe once again was raising funds for the restoration of Northolt's Battle of Britain Sector Operations Building (Building 27) has produced another very succesful night photo shoot for the second time in 2014 and the 16th since the first event held in January 2009.

The small collection of aircraft present included a CASA CN235 Persuader of the Irish Air Corps which is utilised in the Maritime Surveillance and Fishery Protection role. Invited for the photo shoot it's departure during the event expanded the variety of possible shots. A pair of Armée de l'Air Alpha Jets arrived late the pilots staying overnight before returning to their home base of Tours. The refuelling operations of the jet trainers again provided added interest for the photographers. A 45(R) Squadron Super King Air B200 was another interesting attendee the aircrew were absent and and engine run was not possible.
For the full story behind this event please see my article written for Aviation News published in 2012.
