The Hunter Association Obersimmental's 'Hunterfest'
This small event was smaller than usual. First of all the one (Hunter T.68 registered HB-RVV) of the trio of Hunters that has featured in previous shows here is now grounded and secondly the weather was poor. So poor that aircraft (Vampires and Hunters with the Fliegermuseum (Swiss Flying Museum) at Altenrhein could not make it in on the day before or even on the day. The good news that on the day some aircraft did make it despite the low cloud in the area and perhaps beyond. The weather on the day was actually quite nice so the displays were impressive.

The only vintage jet was the Hunter Mk.58 known as 'Papyrus' which flew three times. The Swissair marked Douglas DC-3 Dakota arrived and also later displayed flying up and down the tight valley with ease, turning within the confines of the valley itself. It was joined by three attractive US registered former RCAF Beechcraft CT-128 Expeditors.
