Independence Day Flypast

On March 25, 2025, Athens hosted a large military parade and flypast to celebrate Greece's Independence Day, commemorating the start of the War of Greek Independence in 1821. The parade included military vehicles and aircraft, including fighter jets and helicopters, which fly over the city during the annual held event. Lycabettus Hill in downtown Athens is the obvious place to see the flypast.
