Veteran Car Museum
Egeskov Castle
Egeskov, Denmark
August 2013
|
A good day can be spent at the 460 year old Egeskov Castle and grounds. The Castle buildings surrounded by a fabulous moat have furniture and period clothes relating to the family that has lived here since 1784. The other out buildings contains a huge collection of vintage vehicles and motorbikes and a handful of aircraft. The veteran car museum was opened in 1967. The aircraft collection has changed over past decades and are packed into reduced areas of what was a very large barn, I think. Adjacent to the buildings housing the aircraft is a grass landing strip.
The museum is open daily from mid-April to mid-October but please visit the official website to get the precise opening timings. |
