Left to right: de Havilland Comet 4C (XS235 later G-CPDA) 'Canopus' First flew on September 26, 1963 was initially operated by the British Ministry of Technology and used for radio, radar and avionics trials. It was eventually operated by the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment (A&AEE) at RAE Boscombe Down. It was the last Comet to fly when it was transferred to the Cold War Jets Museum at Bruntingthorpe on March 14, 1997, where it is kept in running order.
