RAF Leuchars in March 2011 6 Squadron and their Typhoon FGR.4s took over Northern Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) from he Tornado F.3s of 111(F) Squadron which stood down as their aircraft were retired from front line service. The remaining eight Tornado F.3s were to flown to RAF Leeming for spares recovery by end of month. 111(F) were disbanded on March 31, 2011. |
