Wednesday November 23, 2016 A beautiful cloudless day in the Lakes and the mountains were snow cappped. Animal Flight, four F-15E Strike Eagles, two of which were high, were followed by five Tucanos and my first low-level sighting of the very large A400M Atlas C.1.

Wednesday November 2, 2016 A day of shooting the beautiful backdrop of Cadir Idris with some occasional passes from some very nice jets. They were all taking the corner high and wide probably due to the low winter sun in the face.

Thursday September 22, 2016 It was another quiet day in the Loop with four Hawk T.2s but for the big bonus of two passes from a BAC 167 Strikemaster.
Left to right: BAC 167 Strikemaster Mk.82A (G-SOAF) formally of the Sultan of Oman's Air Force. No.425 was the last Strikemaster built, it was delivered to the SOAF in 1984 and remained in service until 1999, returning to the UK in 2004 after a period as an instructional airframe. It is now operated by North Wales Military Aviation Service and flown by Director and pilot Mark Petrie. |

Wednesday July 27, 2016 Not the best of weather and few movements from too low on the hillside combined with poor panning meant I had not too much to show for the day.

Col Novotny was first heard on the radio; "Eagle 21 we are a flight of fox one five echoes entering the Mach' Loop from the south east for two circuits at 500 feet and 500 mph. After his flight he wrote on the 48FW Facebook page; "My kind of flying weather! Too bad it was my last flight". Later he added; "Cad' West was packed. Thank you for the great turnout on my final sortie in the UK. I was in 'Eagle 21' flying 311 my flagship, hope you got some great pictures". |

Tuesday July 5, 2016 Back at the Loop starting on Cad' East, but as the only pass of a Tornado GR.4 was almost impossible to catch due to the strong wind I moved across to a new location (for me) on the sheltered west side of the Loop where I had (at a distance) two passes from an uncoded and unmarked Tornado GR.4.

Tuesday June 21, 2016 Up in the Lakes for the first time in quite a while, chose the west side due to cloudy start to the day. Tucanos, a selection of Hawks, a C-130 and two pairs of F-15E Strike Eagles was a great reward.
