Low-Level Flying Photography
Photographic Logs for Greece 2014
(For all these shots I used a Canon EOS 5D Mk III with the following lenses;
Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS Mk II with and without a x1.4 extender Mk III).

Low-flying in Greece
With a little bit of knowledge some deep and spectacular valleys were staked out for a few days early in the year and again towards the end of the year. There was plenty of jet noise in the areas visited but with very little luck I often came away with just some scenic shots. On one occasion on spending a morning on 'the rock' and only seeing some large birds I walked back (and up) to the car and before I could pull away I heard the roar (but not see) of a jet flying up this valley. I have been since told it was an A-7E Corsair.

Last visit of the year to Greece, not much can be said about these shots of a single pass by an F-16C Block 52M Fighting Falcon taken in the most difficult of lighting conditions apart from saying that in this new valley to me I waited over two days and was finally rewarded by this single pass and I now know that it IS now occasionally used by low flying fast jets.

First visit of 2014 and not too much to be said about making some luck with the T-2E Buckeyes apart from saying that these shots have been cropped quite a bit but not less than 3,000 pixels wide.
