Night photo shoot XII

In preparation for the London Olympics four Typhoons were deployed to Northolt from Coningsby as part of an for air defence exercise. Phillip Dawe was able to gain the necesssary permission to organise a night photo shoot. Despite minimal notice 220 photographers descended upon Northolt for this unique event.
An 8 Flight Gazelle failed to make it but three Typhoons were towed from their shelters on the far side of the airfield, two 32(TR) Squadron A.109E Power Elites and a BAE 125 CC.2 were joined briefly by the Metropolitan Police's Eurocopter EC-145. A light drizzle persisted throughout the evening.
