80th D-Day anniversary L-Bird meeting

The light aircraft airfield of Saint André de L'Eure once again hosted an L-Bird gathering which had decended on the grass airstrip during the day, arriving from across Europe. They had plans to fly over the Normandy beeches over the next few days from June 6 to 9 as part of the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings and the Battle of Normandy.

My schedule only allowed me to capture the arrival followed by some local flights of these wonderful World War Two Liaison aircraft. Around 20 L-Birds that attended the 75th Anniversary did not return for the 80th anniversary, however almost as many were attending the event for the first time.
