Towards the end of 2006 11(F) Squadron started to receive its first Typhoons, by April 2007 they had three Typhoons ('DA', 'DB' and 'DC') painted in their Squadron colours. |

11(F) Squadron's Tornado F.3 days |
On Monday October 31, 2005 11(F) Squadron with its Tornado F.3s disbanded at RAF Leeming. It's flying crew and most of it's aircraft will be moving across to 25(F) Squadron the last remaining squadron at Leeming. 11(F) Squadron won't be absent for too long, as they will be converting to the Typhoon at Coningsby towards the end of 2006. |
Now with 111 Squadron ZE942 'DF' is still in it's old 11(F) Squadron markings in October 2006.
ZE942 suffered a bird strike on March 7, 2007 and although assessed as Cat.3 damage it was retired from service due to its age. |
