On October 25, 2019, the Tucano was withdrawn from RAF service. November 28, 2019 and 72(R) Squadron stood up on the Beechcraft Texan T.1 at RAF Valley. The Texan T.1 has taken over the basic fast jet training role previously fulfilled by the Tucano T.1. Students will progress onto the Texan from the Prefect and move forwards to the Hawk T.2 also based at RAF Valley. |
