Officially opened on January 29, 1981 the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment (TTTE) was tasked with training pilots from the RAF, Luftwaffe, German Navy and Italian Air Force on the new jointly developed Panavia Tornado which was coming into service. With the reduction of Tornado student pilot training the TTTE closed in 1999. |
