Sea Planes
Lake Union, Seattle, Washington

Kenmore Air's Lake Union seaplane terminal located just one mile from downtown Seattle, Washington has regular seaplane flights. The local population enjoy their water sports and somehow they live in harmony with each other. Apparently the aircraft attempting to land on the lake do not have priority over the many people floating on the water. During my day observing the constant activity, I only saw two aborted landings. Pilots skilfully steered their floatplanes around all the human hazards both on take-off and landing. |
