Night photo shoot VII
RAF Northolt

Phillip Dawe put together a collection of aircraft for RAF Northolt's Night photo shoot VII. The second such event of the year was organised to attract donations for the fund to restore the Battle of Britain Op's Room at this former World War Two fighter base.
Unfortunately for 'operational' or 'technical' reasons most of the promised and perhaps ambitious list of invited aircraft were unable to attend. However, the aircraft that presented themselves in the unique night-time setting were more than adequate to satisfy the attending photographers. Both the Metropolitan Police EC-145 and the Royal Navy Jetstream departed during the event, providing the best images of the evening. A pair of specially painted 95th Anniversary 4 FTS Hawks, a Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS) Squirrel and various Northolt based 32(TR) Squadron aircraft made up the numbers. |
