| My good friend Themis Vranas produced the book 'Fighting the Lethe', this labour of love, now sold out, details every former Hellenic Air Force aircraft that has been withdrawn from service. Many of the 700+ plus aircraft are to be found on air bases or in a few museums. However quite a number are dispersed around the country located at memorials in villages or towns. This page is dedicated to the aircraft I have discovered as I travelled around this wonderful country. |

| Left to right: Lockheed F-104G Starfighter (7205) at Aigio in 2016. In April 2024 the sunset was at 20:10. These images were taken 30 minutes or so each side of the days sunset. Spotlights on a lamp post on the opposite side of the road came on at 20:00 and illuminated the jet really well. Serving the HAF from October 1980, 7205 was in storage with 116CW in August 1995 since its retirement in 1993, by 2000 it was moved to its current location. |
